What keeps us from pursuing the things we were created to do?
Sometimes I know exactly what I am called to, but I have no idea why or what it even looks like. “We might have the goal, but we don’t have the plan, and it scares us.”
And then there are the times that I just completely screw things up. I say the wrong thing, don’t speak up when I should and miss opportunities that are right in front of me. Thankfully, “On our worst days we are never out of reach of God’s grace.”
One of the hardest things about life is holding on to joy in times of waiting. Waiting to finally quit that job, to finally get that degree, to FINALLY meet the guy… I am constantly reminding myself that “Happiness is built upon the happenings around us, but joy is built upon the Spirit of God in our lives.”
It is so easy to get distracted by the things other people stand for with which we disagree but. “If you build a life on what you’re against, you will lose the chance to build it on what you are for.”
This book gave me a lot to think about and I would definitely recommend it!!
